Accounting Supervisor
The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Disbursement Management: Handle the end-to-end disbursement process, reviewing, authorizing, and processing payments to maintain accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.
Inventory Monitoring: Oversee and reconcile inventory levels, coordinating with relevant departments to ensure accurate stock records and efficient inventory management.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections, maintain accurate records, and address discrepancies promptly.
Financial Monitoring & Reporting: Track financial activity and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insights and highlighting any significant trends or issues.
Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits to evaluate compliance with company policies and financial controls, identifying and mitigating risks.
Liaising with External Accounting Firm: Serve as the primary point of contact for external accountants, coordinating annual audits, tax preparation, and any external reporting needs.
Process Documentation & Improvement: Maintain and enhance documentation of financial processes, seeking opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency in workflows.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support financial alignment and ensure smooth operations in all financial matters.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.Experience: 4+ years in accounting, with specific experience in disbursements, inventory, accounts payable/receivable, and audit functions.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge: Strong grasp of GAAP, regulatory standards, and internal controls, with demonstrated experience in independent accounting roles.
Soft Skills: Highly organized with keen attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously. Strong communication skills for effective cross-departmental and external collaboration.
