Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote Claims Officer to manage insurance claims for our smash repair clients. You will act as the primary liaison between clients, insurers, and repair teams to ensure claims are processed efficiently and accurately from lodgment to settlement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, assess, and process motor vehicle insurance claims.
  • Communicate with insurance companies, clients, and repair workshops to coordinate claim progress.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation, including repair estimates and supporting evidence.
  • Monitor claim status and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and claims management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance policies, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Handle customer queries regarding claim status professionally and promptly.
Required Experience
  • Previous experience handling insurance claim recoveries, including recovery of costs from at-fault parties, insurers, or third parties.
  • Knowledge of recovery processes, liability determination, and supporting documentation required for successful recoveries.
  • Experience liaising with insurers, legal representatives, customers, and third parties to facilitate recovery outcomes.
  • Ability to track, monitor, and follow up on outstanding recoveries to ensure timely resolution and payment.
  • Understanding of Australian motor insurance recovery procedures and industry practices is highly desirable.
Preferred
  • Experience managing recovery claims within the Australian motor insurance or smash repair industry.
  • Familiarity with subrogation, liability disputes, and recovery negotiations.
  • Previous experience recovering repair costs, excess payments, and uninsured losses from third parties.
