Position: Client Account Associate: Accounting Staff

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Rent Manager to support the daily operations of a rental property portfolio. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and accounting skills, with an emphasis on managing tenant relationships, maintaining financial records, and supporting leasing and maintenance coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact past-due tenants via Google Voice.
  • Maintain professional, consistent follow-up with tenants.
  • Use negotiation skills to reach payment arrangements and minimize delinquencies.
  • Maintain a detailed list of financial transactions.
  • Match and reconcile transactions with Chase Bank statements.
  • Generate payment and transaction reports using Rent Manager and Google Sheets.
  • Create and process new lease and renew agreements and make sure documents are being signed.
  • Ensure leasing documents are properly filed and updated using Google Drive and other Google Suite tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of tenants, transactions, maintenance activities, and communications.
  • Utilize Google Sheets, Docs, and Drive for data tracking and storage.
  • Act as an Appointment Setter for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with service providers to schedule work orders.
  • Assisting Tenants with inquiries such as payment arrangements and Property Maintenance/Concerns.
  • Make occasional purchases of supplies and small equipment from the Home Depot website as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in property management or administrative roles.
  • Strong bookkeeping and transaction matching skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and web-based tools.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational habits.
  • Comfortable making outbound calls to collect past-due payments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Rent Manager software.
  • Prior experience with utility billing and vendor management.
  • Accounting background or coursework (Accounting Advantage).
  • Bilingual in English (for WeChat communication).
  • Strong negotiation skills in rent collection or debt recovery.
  • Time Management.
  • Making decisions and following up with pending tasks.
  • Strong accountability and Ownership.
