Both Store Managers are responsible for the overall success of their location and share these core duties:
Financial Performance: Achieving sales targets, managing budgets, controlling labor and operating costs, and ensuring store profitability.Team Leadership: Hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and motivating a diverse team of employees, and managing performance.
Operational Excellence: Ensuring compliance with company policies, loss prevention, cash management, and all health and safety regulations.
Customer Experience: Resolving escalated customer complaints and ensuring a high standard of service is consistently delivered.
Department Store Manager
Core Goal: Maximize profit through premium customer experience, strong visual presentation, and high average transaction value.
Lead and enforce brand visual standards across multiple, distinct departments (floors, sections).
Drive sales through fashion trends and seasonal campaigns, ensuring all promotional materials are executed perfectly.
Manage a larger team, often including Department Managers or Area Supervisors, and specialist roles (e.g., personal shoppers).
Oversee security protocols for high-value merchandise (electronics, jewelry, designer goods).
Analyze buying trends and customer feedback to influence future merchandise selection and planning.- Supermarket Manager
Core Goal: Maximize revenue through high customer traffic, operational efficiency, and strict control over perishable inventory and food safety.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health regulations in all perishable departments.
Manage the efficient flow of high-volume product replenishment from the back stockroom to the selling floor, minimizing "out-of-stock" (OOS) items.
Oversee pricing strategy and competitive market checks to ensure price-sensitive customers are retained.
Manage equipment maintenance for critical items like refrigeration units, ovens, and slicers.
Develop strategies to manage peak hours effectively, as customer traffic is generally higher and more constant.
Qualifications/Requirements
5 years minimum experience in Supermarket or Department store operations
College Graduate
