- 2-4 years of payroll administration experience in a mid-size or multi-entity organization
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software
- Familiarity with Canadian payroll legislation, tax regulations, and employment standards
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification (or in progress) from the National Payroll Institute (NPI) or equivalent
Preferred:
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations or government-funded programs
- Basic accounting knowledge or experience with general ledger entries
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset

- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Your Daily Tasks
Payroll Processing- Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for salaried, hourly, and contract staff using ADP Workforce Now
- Enter, verify, and maintain employee payroll data including new hires, terminations, salary changes, deductions, and leave accruals
- Review and validate timesheets and code hours accurately to projects or cost centers
- Meet payroll deadlines and resolve discrepancies or errors prior to processing
- Ensure all payroll transactions comply with federal and provincial legislation (e.g., CRA, WSCC, QST, etc.)
- Maintain updated employee records and file payroll-related documentation properly
- Prepare year-end documents such as T4s, RL-1s, and Records of Employment (ROEs)
- Reconcile payroll accounts and support payroll audits when required
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, earnings, deductions, and tax forms
- Resolve issues with pay statements and vacation balances
- Provide support with ADP self-service system access
- Handle employee compensation and personal information with strict confidentiality
- Generate regular and ad hoc payroll reports for finance, HR, and management
- Test and implement system upgrades or changes in payroll software
- Recommend improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiencymend process improvements
