QA/QC MEPF Engineer
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Experience:
- Education: Graduate of BS Electrical Engineering
- Certification/ Licensed Required: Registered Electrical Engineer
- With minimum 5 years related work experience in design and construction industry, with experience in Construction Project Management, bidding & procurement, review of construction plans and specifications, must have experience in coordination with CSA & M&E trades.
Job Summary:
- Electrical Engineer - Construction Project Management (Building Construction)
Licensed Electrical Engineer Minimum 5 years of experience in:
Building construction projects (commercial, residential, mixed-use, or institutional)
Electrical systems implementation and supervision & Construction Project Management and/or QA/QC functions Experience working with consultants, contractors, and client representatives
Perform Electrical Engineering related matters & other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time- Technical Skills - Electrical Systems
Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, including:
Power distribution (LV/MV), transformers, panels, and switchgear Lighting and lighting control systems &Grounding and bonding systems
Emergency power systems (generators, UPS) & Fire alarm and low-current systems coordination Ability to review and interpret:
Electrical design drawings and shop drawings & Technical specifications and load schedules Method statements and material submittals
Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, such as:
Philippine Electrical Code (PEC)
Local building codes and authority requirements- Construction Project Management Skills
Experience in:
Project planning, sequencing, and work coordination
Monitoring project schedules and electrical milestones & Progress tracking and reporting Interface management with civil, architectural, and other MEPF trades
Ability to identify and resolve construction issues related to design, constructability, and site conditions Knowledge of cost awareness and change management related to electrical works- QA/QC & Compliance Skills
Experience in QA/QC processes, including:
Preparation and implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) Site inspections and quality audits
Non-Conformance Report (NCR) management and corrective actions Familiarity with:
Testing and commissioning requirements & Materials inspection and verification As-built drawings and turnover documentation
Strong focus on compliance with approved drawings and specifications- Coordination & Communication Skills
Effective coordination with:
Project managers and site engineers
Subcontractors and suppliers & Consultants, clients, and regulatory inspectors Ability to lead technical discussions and resolve site issues
Competent in preparing technical reports, inspection records, and progress updates- Risk, Safety & Leadership Skills
Awareness of electrical safety standards and construction site safety practices Ability to identify risks and implement preventive measures
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple work fronts
