Client Overview
A well-established, RICS-regulated Property Management fi rm operating for over 10 years, managing properties across London and Hertfordshire.
The Role: What You'll Achieve
We're looking for a sharp, proactive Service Charge Account Manager to be the financial backbone of our client’s property portfolio. You'll ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant accounting for a diverse range of blocks and developments, linking the property management team, clients, and tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial & Service Charge Management
- Own the end-to-end accounting process for a dedicated portfolio.
- Prepare and produce annual, quarterly, and year-end Service Charge Accounts up to the trial balance stage for external accountants.
- Generate and issue all essential demands (Service Charge, Ground Rent, Insurance, Rent, etc.).
- Conduct and review bank reconciliations within required timeframes.
- Oversee the financial implementation process for new properties joining the portfolio.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a primary point of contact, professionally handling all written and verbal queries from clients, tenants, and suppliers.
- Work closely with the Property Management team to review accounts and provide necessary reporting.
- Proactively monitor and manage your workload to meet critical business deadlines.
Requirements & Schedule:
- Proven experience in property accounting specifically managing service charges.
- Working knowledge of a property management system (Tramps or similar accounting software) is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and strong soft skills to manage customer needs.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a proactive team player.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM UK Time.
Technical Requirements:
- Must have your own device, Windows 11 with antivirus software
- Must have a professional noise-cancellation headset.
- Internet: Stable and wired connection (minimum 20 MBPS download/upload) with backup internet connection.
- Security: Installed and updated antivirus software.
