About the Job:

As a Project Estimator, you’ll be at the heart of estimating materials, quantities, and resources needed to bring our construction projects to life! You’ll collaborate with project managers, review detailed specs, blueprints, and drawings, and ensure everything stays on track, on time, on budget, and up to the highest standards.

If you're ready to make an impact and work alongside a talented team, we want you!

What You’ll Do:

Project Planning and Estimation:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine the scope of work and necessary materials and equipment (e.g., for apartment buildings, warehouses, and custom homes).
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Develop detailed takeoff lists and schedules for all electrical construction projects.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information for materials and equipment.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to discuss project details and requirements.

Documentation and Record Maintenance:

  • Maintain accurate records of project estimates, takeoffs, and other relevant information to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project.
  • Attend meetings to gather information, clarify project requirements, and ensure that all client needs are met.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in materials and equipment costs to provide the most accurate estimates.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with relevant experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in estimating for commercial or industrial projects (electrical experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and practices is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (6 months of experience minimum).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
