Radiologist Assistant (Project-based) | Maxicare Centris
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiology Assistant to support our radiology team in providing efficient, safe, and high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will assist with patient preparation, imaging procedures, administrative tasks, and maintaining a smooth workflow within the radiology department.
This one-year, project-based position is ideal for underboard Radiologic Technologists and graduates of allied health programs who are ready to apply their knowledge in a clinical setting. You'll gain hands-on experience, work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, and develop the technical and interpersonal skills needed to build a successful career in the healthcare industry.
- What You'll Do -
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assist radiologists, technologists, and healthcare staff with daily imaging operations.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
- Accurately encoding patient information and imaging data into PACS/RIS systems
- Ensuring image quality, accuracy, and completeness prior to interpretation
- Communicate diagnostic results effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Support scheduling, paperwork, and other administrative duties.
- Upholding strict confidentiality and compliance with data privacy regulations
- Who We're Looking For -
Education:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology or any 4-year allied medical course.
- Underboard applicants currently pursuing BS Nursing or BS Radiologic Technology are welcome to apply.
Experience:
- Familiarity with PACS and RIS platforms is an advantage (training will be provided)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and quality control awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Personal Attributes:
- Compassionate communicator with good written and verbal skills
- Comfortable working with both patients and healthcare professionals in a collaborative setting
- Willing to work rotational shifts (five-day work week with varying rest days)
