INTERNAL AUDIT SUPERVISOR (Cebu-Based)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Audit Supervisor is responsible for managing and executing audit engagements to ensure compliance, identify risks, and improve internal controls. They act as a bridge between audit teams and senior management, ensuring that audits are conducted efficiently and effectively. Below are the key job responsibilites:

1. Audit Planning & Execution: Develop and implement audit plans, objectives, and timeline. Identify key risk areas and define audit scope accordingly. Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with regulatory standard (ISA, GAAP, IFRS, SOX, COSO, etc.).
2. Risk Assessment & Internal Controls: Assess and analyze financial, operational, and compliance risks. Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements to mitigate risks. Identify potential fraud risks and operational ineffeciencies. Ensure corrective actions are implemented based on audit findings.
3. Team Supervision & Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior auditors. Provide guidance and support throughout the audit process. Conduct performance reviews and feedback sessions to enhance team capabilities. Ensure adherence to audit methodologies and best practices.
4. Audit Reporting & Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Present audit results to seniuor mangement and stakehilders. Maintain proper documentation for audt traits and compliance requirements. Ensure audit reports are accurate, clear, and aligned with business objectives.
5. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure audits comply with industry regulations and internal policies. Stay updated on changing laws, regulations, and best practices. Support external auditors and regulatory bodies during compliance audits.
6. Stakeholder Communication & Coordination: Communicate audit objectives, process, and results to key stakeholders. Work with various departments to ensure smooth audit execution. Address concerns and privde recommendations for process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, Internal Audit, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology
• Preferrably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

1. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

1. Auditing & Accounting Knowledge - Basics of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and International Standard on Auditing (ISA), SOX, GDPR, COSO
2. Risk Managemet & Compliance - Knowledge in risk assessment techniques to identify high-risk areas. Knowledge or regulatory requirements and ability to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. Ability to recommend risk mitigation strategies and process improvements.
3. Technology & Data Analytics - Proficiency in audit software (e.g. ACL, IDEA, TeamMate, CaseWare). Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. Knowledge of data analytic tools to enhance audit effifiency and fraud detection.
