Job Summary: The Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing analytical support and strategic insights to optimize the company's operations and decision-making processes. This position will require extensive data analysis, financial modelling, and market research, to advise key stakeholders, and drive business performance.
The Senior Analyst will work closely with External Investor Relations to identify areas for improvement and contribute to the creation and execution of strategic initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to evaluate operational performance, identify trends, and uncover insights that support decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess project economics, profitability, and risk factors associated with mining operations.
- Lead the research and analysis efforts for the development of the company's sustainability report.
- Work closely with various departments to gather data and information on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and performance metrics.
- Draft sections of the annual report, including management discussion and analysis (MD&A), business overview, and corporate governance.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate findings recommendations, and performance metrics to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Support strategic planning initiatives by providing analytical support, scenario analysis, and risk assessment to inform decision-making and resource allocation.
- Participate to cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and regulatory changes to assess potential impacts on the company's operations and competitive position.
- Collaborate and work closely with External Investor Relations Officer together with Operational teams to analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions to improve productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, financial modelling, and statistical methods.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools/software.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
