Field Service Engineer
Himex Corporation, a business active in the medical industry for over 30 years is looking for a hardworking, ambitious, and proactive Field Service Engineer to join our team and become a valuable member of the engineering exponent of our company.
Job Description:
A Field Service Engineer will be working under the Technical Department and will be responsible for installations, dismantling, responding to client service calls while also performing preventive maintenance services at different sites. A Field Service Engineer will also have to perform site inspection for new projects and act as a liaison between Doctors, end users, hospital administration, hospital engineers, and the Head Office regarding their concerns and requirements.During bidding qualifications, the Field Service Engineer may be asked to complete bid documents and attend pre-bid meetings to raise important questions. Service reports must be completed after every site visit and the Field Service Engineer is also responsible for completing reports for the use of further trouble shooting in coordination with manufacturer’s guidance.
We are looking for an Engineer willing to travel, learn and grow with us. Dependent on performance, overseas training for various modules will be provided.
Job Responsibilities:
- Trouble shooting, maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of various radiological equipment such as MRI, CT-scanner, Ultrasound, and X-ray.
- Attending to and completing quarterly preventive maintenance services for different sites around Nationwide.
- Maintaining test equipment and tools and ensuring they are in good working condition and calibrated within manufacturer’s specifications.
- Accountable for inspection of new deliveries and return of loaned tools to ensure that all components of the deliveries and returns are complete
- Responsible for keeping track of installations and serviced machines by updating records of service database
- Site visits for pre-inspection of installations, evaluation of site requirements per equipment standards.
- Assisting the Sales and Marketing Department during biddings for technical specifications and pre-bid meetings.
- Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs, service records, and liquidations in a timely manner
- Responsible for being a well-mannered representative of Himex by establishing a relationship with end users, doctors, hospital heads and administration when visiting sites for service.
- Maintaining proper communication between clients, technical department, and customer service head in order to provide information and proper updates for all people involved and quality service for the customer
- Utilizing the escalation process to resolve any issues that may arise from clients, sites, delivery, etc...
- Must always adhere and maintain proper environmental health and safety, and all other applicable regulatory requirements
- Must be willing and able to assist in possible heavy lifting during site dismantling and must be able to carry heavy tools and tool box without any problems.
Qualifications:
- Electronics Engineer or ECE graduate, Biomedical technology or of the same related course
- PRC License in Electrical Engineering is a plus
- Must be willing to be on call and travel around the Philippines to service various sites
- Fresh graduates are welcome but preferably with 1-2 years’ experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and or electronic equipment, specifically MRI, CT-scan, Ultrasound, and X-ray. Preferred but not a must.
- Competent level of computer skills including MS Word, Power Point, Excel
- Can read circuit diagrams and do basic networking
- Skills in AutoCAD will be greatly regarded
- Preferably with valid driver’s license with good driving record, and willing to drive to project sites. Preferred but not a must
- Must be dependable with proven track record of being accountable for all aspects of their job
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, self-directed and pressurized environment as machine downtime must be rectified in the shortest time possible
- High level of analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain and communicate complex technical issues in an understandable manner to hospital administration and head office management
- Must have strong relationship skills when responding to customers in order to be an effective and respected representative of the company
- Must possess effective time management skills and be able to work independently but also be a strong team player in the Technical Department
- Strong attention to detail
- Neat, punctual, and organized to ensure service commitments are thoroughly attained.
- Capable of quickly making efficient and smart decisions when problems arise and be able to escalate issues properly to management when necessary
- Good moral character with a positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
