A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE
As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst, you will support the AML compliance function through timely and accurate review of transaction monitoring alerts and clearing of flags in accordance with internal procedures. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting continuous improvement in transaction monitoring processes.
YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES- Monitor and manage transaction monitoring queues, ensuring timely review and clearance of alerts
- Review daily alerts to assess and determine if further investigation is required
- Apply internal guidelines to evaluate transaction behavior; escalate cases as needed
- Clear routine alerts that meet predefined criteria and accurately document rationale
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and consistent records of all alert reviews and actions taken
- Support in updating monitoring rules and flagging logic
- Proactively monitor internal communication channels and stay current on updates
- Contribute to improving transaction monitoring processes by identifying inefficiencies
- Perform compliance-related administrative duties
- Be punctual and adhere to assigned work schedules (Monday–Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; rotating weekends)
- Prioritize work to ensure critical tasks are completed efficiently and with quality
- Uphold a positive, professional workplace culture
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills
- Manage resources responsibly within defined accountability levels
- Comply with all employment obligations and directions
- Represent the company’s best interests in all professional engagements
- Commit to safety and compliance with Health and Safety protocols in all work activities
- Experience in compliance, financial services, or transaction monitoring preferred
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with AML and compliance standards is an advantage
