Network Engineer (AU IT Client, WHF/Hybrid)
The Network Engineer will be primarily responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the network infrastructure for our Australian clients. This role requires a strong foundation in networking principles, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and the capacity to effectively collaborate with clients to deliver tailored solutions.
As a part of our dynamic team, you’ll work in a hybrid environment, providing flexibility while ensuring critical network services meet industry standards and the specific needs of our clients.
Responsibilities- Design and configure network solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Conduct network assessments and implement improvements as needed
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
- Document network designs, configurations, and operations for transparency and future reference
- Collaborate with clients to understand their network needs and tailor solutions accordingly
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in network management
- Participate in on-call support rotations for network emergencies
- Continually update and maintain knowledge of emerging trends in network technology
Requirements
Key Skills & Experience- Proven experience in network design, configuration, and management, particularly in an Australian client environment
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols, firewalls, and VPNs
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on client relations
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, including remote collaboration
- Understanding of network security best practices and tools
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are desirable
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or a related field
