Cluster Finance Senior Manager (For Pooling)

The Senior Manager, Cluster Finance serves as the Accounting Lead for US GAAP actuals and a strategic partner to the Finance Director (FD) across assigned markets. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, drives close excellence, and leads collaboration across Business Unit Finance (BUF), FP&A, and Global Services (GS) teams.

The role is also a key member of the FD leadership team, influencing decisions, strengthening financial governance, and leading a virtual GS team across A2R and related processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting
  • Lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including pre-close meetings, balance sheet reviews, and financial statement reviews
  • Own and approve US GAAP “actuals” submissions for cluster markets to US consolidation
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness of financial statements through detailed analysis and review
  • Act as the Accounting Lead for complex/high-materiality markets within the cluster
Performance Management & Insights
  • Oversee PnL Budget vs. Actuals (BvA) reporting, ensuring alignment with BUF and FD approval of commentary
  • Partner with BUF and FP&A to provide meaningful financial insights and variance analysis
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and key business drivers
Stakeholder Leadership & Business Partnering
  • Serve as the primary GS point of contact for BUF, FP&A, and A2R teams
  • Actively contribute as a member of the FD Leadership Team, providing financial guidance and insights
  • Represent GS in BUF leadership discussions, influencing decisions and outcomes
  • Build strong, trusted relationships across regional and global stakeholders
Governance, Controls & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to US GAAP, SOX, and internal control requirements
  • Drive strong financial governance to achieve “adequate” or better audit ratings
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, ensuring timely resolution of complex or aged A2R issues
Operational Leadership & Continuous Improvement
  • Provide virtual leadership to GS teams across A2R, Treasury, Tax, and Master Data
  • Champion process excellence, standardization, and automation initiatives
  • Lead or contribute to global and local transformation projects
People Leadership
  • Lead and develop a team of 1–3 senior professionals/team leads
  • Drive performance management, coaching, and career development
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) or equivalent
  • 8–12+ years of progressive finance experience across multiple finance disciplines
  • Strong experience in US GAAP reporting and financial close processes
  • Demonstrated people leadership or team management experience
