Electrical engineering

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in the solar panel and renewable energy sector. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems for photovoltaic (PV) installations, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

This role is ideal for engineers passionate about sustainable energy and interested in contributing to large-scale solar projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar PV installations.
• Design solar photovoltaic (PV) systems using industry-standard software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD) to optimize energy yield and system efficiency. This includes the selection and sizing of system components such as solar modules, inverters, batteries, cables, cable management systems, and protection devices.
• Prepare detailed engineering deliverables, including technical drawings, single-line diagrams, specifications, and design reports.
• Provide technical support for the procurement, inspection, and acceptance of electrical equipment.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance for on-site electrical installation and commissioning works, ensuring compliance with approved design, quality standards, and relevant codes.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, installers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful project delivery from initiation to completion.
• Perform assigned electrical engineering tasks across all project phases, including design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• Ensure all engineering work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and project design basis.
• Support project completion activities, including testing, commissioning, acceptance, and handover documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and concepts.
• Experience in solar PV projects will be an advantage.
• Proficiency in design and simulation tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, ETAP and other relevant modeling software.
• Familiarity with local building codes, zoning regulations, and utility interconnection requirements, and familiarity of electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, or local equivalent) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and a proactive work attitude with high initiative.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willingness to start work immediately or on short notice.
