Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Specialist to manage and optimize enterprise-level storage systems, VMware virtualization platforms, backup solutions, and server installations. This role is critical for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure across a large-scale enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a high level of resilience, takes full ownership of tasks, and leverages automation to improve efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise storage solutions
Manage VMware environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines
Plan and execute server installations, configurations and upgrades
Administer and optimize Veeam Backup and Replication environments to ensure data integrity and availability
Implement automation for routine tasks, deployments, and system monitoring to increase efficiency
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability
Maintain disaster recovery strategies and documentation
Collaborate with Network, Security, and Application teams to ensure seamless integration
Perform capacity planning and performance tuning for storage and virtualization environments
Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and industry best practices
Take ownership of assigned projects and deliverables, ensuring timely and high-quality execution
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalation support for critical incidents

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
7+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments focusing on storage, VMware administration, and backup solutions
Strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and projects
Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
Expertise in backup technologies (Veeam)
Hands-on experience with SAN and storage systems (e.g., HPE Alletra)
Experience with automation tools and PowerShell scripting
Windows and Linux server installation and administration experience is a plus
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution
Relevant certifications (VMware VCP, Veeam VMCE, HPE certifications) are a plus
High level of resilience and ability to work under pressure
