Senior Tax & Compliance Accountant

Is Currently looking for:

SENIOR TAX & COMPLIANCE ACCOUNTANT

Location: Cebu, Philippines

• Prepare, review, and file all tax returns and regulatory submissions accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, LGU, and other government regulatory requirements.
• Monitor tax deadlines, permits, licenses, and annual corporate filings.
• Manage VAT, Withholding Taxes, Income Taxes, Documentary Stamp Taxes, and other statutory obligations.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies.
• Handle BIR audits, assessments, Letters of Authority (LOA), and tax investigations.
• Maintain compliance calendars and reporting systems for all group companies.
• Review accounting records and financial statements to ensure compliance with Philippine accounting and tax regulations.
• Identify tax risks and recommend practical solutions to management.
• Support management with tax planning, financial analysis, and compliance reporting.
• Assist in implementing internal controls and process improvements across the group.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.
• CPA license is highly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years focused on taxation and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, SEC requirements, and corporate compliance.
• Experience handling multiple companies or group structures is an advantage.
• Proven experience in dealing with audits and government agencies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, Oracle NetSuite, or similar systems.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
