Additionally, the role involves managing key accounts by leading and guiding the RD sales personnel, ensuring their performance aligns with company objectives. The Distributor Manager must also monitor monthly sales performance through scorecards, implement resource requirements, and establish an efficient sales structure for the RD team to achieve key performance indicators.
A critical aspect of the role is RD Sales Team leadership and development, ensuring structured sales processes and productivity standards. This includes setting daily coverage plans, tracking call and sales performance, and optimizing van sales by ensuring proper stock levels.The manager is expected to conduct regular business reviews with Regional Distributors, ensure effective pre-booking sales, and monitor daily and weekly productivity reports. To enhance team competency, the Distributor Manager facilitates sales training programs twice a year and provides hands-on coaching through field training sessions.
The role also includes developing van salesmen and booking salesmen, ensuring best practices in sales execution.
Additionally, the Distributor Manager is responsible for Trade Marketing Program (TMP) management, ensuring that promotional activities align with financial goals and are executed within the approved budget. This includes tracking PAF (Promotional Activity Fund) status and preparing closure reports for TMP programs.The role also involves Accounts Receivable (AR) management, including monthly reconciliation of collections, deductions, and trade contracts. Lastly, the Distributor Manager must oversee merchandising compliance, trade audits, and overall team competency through continuous coaching and performance assessments, ensuring sustainable business growth within the assigned region.
