Production Supervisor (Food Supplements)

  1. Daily Production Supervision
  • Supervise daily production activities based on approved production plans, job orders, batch records, and work instructions.
  • Assign tasks to production staff and monitor manpower attendance, productivity, discipline, and work performance.
  • Ensure that production staff follow approved procedures, hygiene requirements, safety rules, and GMP standards.
  • Check that work areas, tools, equipment, and materials are ready before production starts.
  • Monitor actual production output versus target output and report delays, bottlenecks, or issues to the Production & Warehouse Manager.
  1. Production Output and Timeline Monitoring
  • Track daily production progress, batch completion, line efficiency, and actual output.
  • Ensure that production schedules are followed as closely as possible.
  • Monitor downtime, rework, rejects, wastage, and production interruptions.
  • Coordinate immediately with Planning, Warehouse, QA/QC, or Maintenance for issues that may affect production timelines.
  • Help identify causes of low output, delays, or recurring production problems.
  1. GMP, Quality, and Safety Compliance
  • Ensure that production staff comply with GMP, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Check that production areas are clean, organized, and compliant before, during, and after operations.
  • Make sure production staff follow proper gowning, handwashing, line clearance, material handling, and cleaning procedures.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process checks, quality concerns, hold items, rejected materials, and production deviations.
  • Stop or escalate production activities when there are quality, safety, contamination, or compliance risks.
  1. Materials, Equipment, and Process Coordination
  • Coordinate with Warehouse for issuance and return of raw materials, packaging materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Check that materials issued to production match the approved batch requirements, quantity, and item specifications.
  • Monitor proper use of machines, equipment, tools, and production supplies.
  • Report machine concerns, abnormal operations, breakdowns, or maintenance needs immediately.
  • Ensure that equipment and work areas are properly cleaned, cleared, and prepared after use.
  1. Production Documentation and Reporting
  • Ensure that production records, batch records, cleaning logs, manpower records, and output reports are properly completed.
  • Review production documents for completeness, accuracy, and timely submission.
  • Prepare daily production updates covering actual output, manpower issues, delays, material concerns, machine concerns, quality issues, and other production-related matters.
  • Make sure production staff properly record actual usage, yield, rejects, downtime, and other required data.
  • Maintain organized and traceable production documentation.
  1. People Management and Work Discipline
  • Monitor production staff behavior, attendance, punctuality, work habits, and compliance with company rules.
  • Coach production staff on proper work procedures, GMP practices, safety rules, productivity expectations, and workplace discipline.
  • Report repeated violations, poor performance, attendance concerns, or disciplinary issues to the Production & Warehouse Manager and HR.
  • Support training and onboarding of new production staff.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, cleanliness, discipline, and proper work attitude inside the production area.
  1. Process Improvement and Production Support
  • Recommend improvements in manpower deployment, workflow, production efficiency, documentation, equipment use, and GMP compliance.
  • Help reduce production waste, downtime, rework, delays, and avoidable errors.
  • Support implementation of new production procedures, systems, and company standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments to improve production flow and execution.

Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or vocational background in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or any related course.
  • At least 4 to 7 years of experience in production, manufacturing operations, line supervision, or plant operations.
  • Experience supervising production workers in food, beverage, supplement, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or related manufacturing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMP, food safety, sanitation, production documentation, and basic quality control is required.
  • Experience in powder blending, capsule production, sachet packing, bottling, filling, labeling, packaging, or similar manufacturing operations is an advantage.
  • Must have experience in manpower supervision, task assignment, output monitoring, and production reporting.
Skills Qualifications
  • Strong people supervision and work discipline skills.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing flow, production schedules, manpower deployment, and output monitoring.
  • Knowledge of GMP, hygiene, sanitation, safety, and quality standards.
  • Strong follow-through in checking tasks, output, documents, and production concerns.
  • Able to identify delays, bottlenecks, quality risks, and production problems.
  • Good coordination skills with Planning, QA/QC, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Management.
  • Organized in production documentation, daily reporting, and monitoring.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage urgent production requirements.
  • Firm but fair in handling production staff.
  • Able to work independently and enforce company standards with minimal supervision.
