Tax Consultant - Quezon City

Job Summary:

The Tax Consultant is responsible for providing expert guidance on tax compliance, planning, and strategy. The role ensures the company adheres to tax laws and regulations, optimizes tax obligations, and supports audits and regulatory filings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on tax compliance and ensure timely filing of tax returns (monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Analyze current tax liabilities and recommend tax-saving strategies
• Assist in preparing and reviewing tax returns such as VAT, EWT, ITR, and Withholding Tax on Compensation
• Ensure accurate computation and remittance of taxes
• Provide support during BIR audits, including preparation of documentation and responses
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations; interpret and communicate implications to management
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams for accurate financial reporting
• Assist in tax planning for business operations, investments, and transactions
• Maintain and submit required alphalists and supporting schedules (e.g., SAWT, QAP)
• Prepare reconciliations of tax-related accounts
• Coordinate with external tax auditors and legal counsel when needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and consulting
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR regulations
• Experience in handling BIR audits is an advantage
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
