About the role
ZC KINGS MANPOWER COOPERATIVE is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail team. This is a full-time position based in Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Cashier, you will be the face of our organisation at the point of sale, delivering exceptional service whilst accurately handling transactions and maintaining the integrity of our cash operations.This role is essential to ensuring smooth daily operations and providing customers with a positive experience that reflects our commitment to excellence.
What you'll be doing- Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently to process customer payments via cash, card, and other payment methods
- Greeting customers warmly and providing courteous service at all times
- Scanning items, calculating totals, and issuing receipts with precision
- Handling cash drawers responsibly, including opening, closing, and reconciling daily cash balances
- Identifying and reporting any discrepancies in cash or inventory to management
- Bagging or packaging purchases appropriately, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintaining a clean and organised checkout area
- Assisting with stock replenishment and product placement when required
- Processing refunds and exchanges in accordance with company policy
- Answering customer enquiries and directing them to appropriate departments or staff members
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
- Previous experience as a Cashier or in a similar retail or customer service role (experience is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates)
- Strong numerical skills and accuracy in handling cash and processing transactions
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to remain calm and patient in busy or stressful environments
- Attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- Honesty and integrity in handling cash and sensitive customer information
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures
