Internal Audit Head

We are seeking a highly skilled and ethical Internal Audit Head to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services to support the Board and Management of GMC.

This role is responsible for leading the evaluation and enhancement of risk management, control, and governance processes through a systematic and disciplined approach—ensuring that operations are aligned with the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and excellence.

• Develop and lead a risk-based annual internal audit strategy, aligned with key risk areas and concerns raised by Management and the Audit & Finance Committee (AFC)
• Oversee and execute audit activities, investigations, risk advisory engagements, and special projects, and report directly to the CFO
• Evaluate new and existing processes, identifying gaps and driving continuous improvements in controls and governance
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with business leaders to identify opportunities and support implementation of audit recommendations
• Uphold and promote high ethical and professional standards across the organization
• Provide high-level consulting and advisory services to Management and Staff, including research and strategic initiatives
• Ensure independence and objectivity while delivering assurance reports for the CFO and AFC
• Lead, manage, and develop the Internal Audit function within the organization’s corporate governance framework

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, or related field from an accredited institution
• CIA, CPA, or equivalent certification is an advantage
• Graduate degree or additional certification may substitute for experience requirements
• At least 8 years of experience in auditing, accounting, business analysis, or program evaluation
• Minimum 4 years of supervisory, managerial, or project management experience
• Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, accounting principles, and management practices
• Familiarity with the Global Internal Auditing Standards and IIA Code of Ethics
• Knowledge of management information systems and experience in IT audit is an advantage
• Strong skills in data analysis, risk assessment, and audit quality control
• Excellent planning, project management, and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities with sound judgment
