We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar (+ Battery) Design Engineer to lead the design and proposal phase of solar PV and battery storage projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive accurate, high-quality proposals that align with Australian standards and deliver strong project outcomes.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar Design Engineer to lead the design and proposal phase of solar PV and battery storage projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive accurate, high-quality proposals that align with Australian standards and deliver strong project outcomes.

You will:

• Design solar PV and battery systems for residential and commercial projects.
• Generate detailed proposals and system layouts with high accuracy and precision.
• Collaborate with our Sales and Estimating teams to ensure timely and competitive client offers.
• Ensure all designs comply with Australian standards (e.g., AS/NZS 5033, inverter/grid codes).
• Track and manage proposal output, focusing on quality, timeliness, and conversion impact.

What We’re Looking For

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or related field) or Licensed Electrician with design experience.
• Experience in solar and/or battery design.
• High accuracy in data analysis, design, and reporting.
• Solar Accreditation Australia certified
• Strong communication and collaboration skills (working across time zones).

Nice to Have:

• Prior Australian solar design experience.
• Familiarity with compliance standards (CEC, AS/NZS).
• Experience with proposal conversion metrics or performance targets.
