Web Developer (Full Stack)

apartmentChip 1 Electronics Phils. Inc. placeQuezon City scheduleFull-time calendar_month
Brain 1 is a cross-platform cognitive training platform with a soccer-first theme, built across mobile (iOS/Android), web, and partial VR. The platform combines a B2C experience for everyday users with a B2B layer for teams and organizations, including user management, sessions, tournaments, dashboards, and performance tools.

The product also includes a Unity-based games layer with 22 cognitive training games. This role reflects the scope already defined in our platform documentation, including cross-platform support, B2B/B2C modules, sessions, dashboards, leagues, customization, notifications, and Unity game integration.

We are looking for a strong Full Stack Developer who can work across frontend, backend, APIs, systems integration, and product implementation. You should be comfortable operating inside an existing codebase, improving quality without slowing delivery, and helping us stabilize and accelerate roadmap execution.

You will work closely with product, design, QA, and technical leadership to ship features in a clean, reviewable, scalable way.

This is not a role for someone who wants to rebuild everything from scratch. We need someone practical, fast, organized, and quality-minded who can audit what exists, understand dependencies quickly, and then build on top of the current foundation.

About the product

Brain 1 sits at the intersection of cognitive training, gaming, sport, and performance. The platform is built to improve cognitive abilities through gameplay, adaptive systems, analytics, and personalized experiences. It supports both individual users and organizations such as teams or clubs, with modules for profiles, friends, sessions, leagues, leaderboards, tournaments, dashboards, onboarding, notifications, and admin workflows.

The product vision also includes AI-driven personalization, training plans, motivation systems, and analytics.

What you’ll do

As a Full Stack Developer, you will help own feature delivery across the platform. Your work may include frontend implementation, backend development, API integration, system logic, data handling, and support for Unity-connected features.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build, improve, and maintain product features across B2C and B2B experiences
  • Develop and connect backend services, APIs, business logic, and data flows
  • Support platform modules such as user management, sessions, tournaments, dashboards, leagues, notifications, store, leaderboards, and profile systems
  • Work alongside Unity developers to ensure smooth integration between app systems and gameplay systems
  • Translate approved product and design requirements into reliable, testable product increments
  • Help improve code quality, structure, modularity, and maintainability inside the existing stack
  • Support bug fixing, QA handoff, smoke testing, and UAT readiness
  • Contribute to performance improvements across client and server environments
  • Follow structured branching, code review, and commit standards
  • Collaborate with product, design, and QA to ensure features meet acceptance criteria and are ready for release
  • Document technical decisions, assumptions, edge cases, and implementation details where needed
  • Help identify technical risks early and propose practical solutions

Typical areas you may work on

Depending on sprint priorities, your work may include:

B2B features
  • Entity and organization management
  • User management and permissions
  • Session creation and management
  • Admin dashboards and reporting
  • League and tournament systems
  • Billing, subscription, or corporate functionality
B2C features
  • User profile and privacy settings
  • Friends and social features
  • Sessions and matchmaking flows
  • Tournaments and leaderboards
  • Rewards, streaks, missions, badges, and goals
  • Store, currency, onboarding, and notifications
Games and platform integration
  • Unity-connected gameplay systems
  • Scoring, leveling, streak, and session result logic
  • Game onboarding and UX polish
  • Data exchange between game layer and platform systems
  • Cross-platform behavior across mobile, web, and partial VR support

The platform scope already includes features such as login/sign-up, profile systems, friendship systems, sessions, dashboards, tournaments, leagues, goals, adaptive training, store, notifications, and web/VR porting support.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who can join an active product environment and contribute with both speed and discipline.

You likely have:

  • Strong experience as a Full Stack Developer in product, platform, or app environments
  • Experience building and maintaining production-grade frontend and backend systems
  • Experience with API design, integrations, authentication, permissions, and data modeling
  • Experience working with mobile, web, or game-connected products
  • Strong understanding of maintainable architecture, reusable patterns, and scalable feature delivery
  • Comfort working inside an existing codebase with legacy decisions and evolving priorities
  • Ability to debug issues across frontend, backend, API, and system layers
  • Strong communication and ability to work with product managers, designers, QA, and developers
  • A practical mindset: you know how to balance speed, quality, and business needs
Nice to have
  • Experience with Unity-connected products or game platforms
  • Experience with B2B SaaS features such as admin roles, organizations, and dashboards
  • Experience with analytics, performance monitoring, and crash/error tracking
  • Experience with CI/CD, release workflows, and environment management
  • Experience in gamification, education, sports tech, wellness tech, or consumer apps
  • Experience turning Figma designs into production-ready implementation workflows

How we work

We care about clean delivery, visibility, and accountability. You should be comfortable working in a structured development workflow with version control, branching, peer review, and conventional commit standards. Our documentation also defines a VCS workflow using main, develop, feature and bugfix branches, plus review-based merge request practices.

We expect developers to:

  • Ship work in testable increments
  • Keep changes reviewable and well-scoped
  • Raise blockers early
  • Respect UI and implementation guidance
  • Align work with acceptance criteria, smoke testing, and UAT expectations
  • Improve quality while continuing delivery

Our platform documentation also includes implementation standards around Figma-to-Unity workflows, UI adaptivity, code style, architecture, and development guidance, which this role will need to work within.

What you’ll get from us

We want developers to move fast with context, not chaos. You’ll receive:

  • Access to technical documentation and workflow standards
  • Product vision and feature scope for B2B, B2C, and platform modules
  • Defined acceptance and testing expectations
  • A live product with meaningful complexity and room to improve
  • Direct collaboration with product and technical stakeholders
  • The chance to help shape the next phase of a cross-platform cognitive training product

Who this role is a fit for

This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving real product problems, cleaning up complexity, and turning moving parts into shipped outcomes. You should be comfortable shifting between architecture thinking and hands-on implementation.

You do not need to be only backend or only frontend. We need someone who can connect the dots, write solid code, and help the team move forward.

If you like ambiguous startup environments, messy but promising systems, and products that mix gaming, performance, and real-world utility, you’ll likely enjoy this role.
