Learning & Development Manager (L&D)

About the Role

As the HR Learning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that foster employee engagement, performance, and growth. This role will focus on enhancing the onboarding experience, developing performance management frameworks, supporting leadership development programs, and creating personalized individual development plans to help employees realize their full potential.

Onboarding Program Development & Management
  • Lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive, engaging, and informative onboarding program that ensures new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture.
  • Develop onboarding materials, schedules, and activities that align with company values, mission, and vision.
  • Collaborate with HR and department managers to ensure new hires receive role-specific training and support, enabling them to quickly become productive contributors.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding programs and make improvements based on feedback and key metrics.
Performance Management & Evaluation
  • Manage the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback, performance appraisals, and development plans.
  • Work with managers to ensure alignment between individual performance goals and organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance on performance discussions and ensure employees are receiving constructive feedback to foster growth and development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance management process to ensure fairness, consistency, and alignment with best practices.
Talent Development & Learning Programs
  • Develop and implement talent development programs aimed at identifying and nurturing high-potential employees within the organization.
  • Lead the design of training and development initiatives that support skill-building, professional growth, and career progression.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify current and future skills gaps, designing programs that help employees develop critical skills to meet business needs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning through various learning modalities, including workshops, e-learning, coaching, and mentoring.
Leadership Development
  • Design and implement leadership development programs to cultivate the next generation of leaders within the company.
  • Work with senior leadership to identify leadership competencies and skillsets necessary for the future success of the organization.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops that enhance leadership skills such as decision-making, strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and change management.
  • Develop programs that support leadership succession planning, ensuring a robust pipeline of leaders across the organization.
Individual Development Planning (IDP)
  • Partner with employees and managers to create personalized development plans that align with both career aspirations and organizational goals.
  • Provide tools and resources to help employees identify their strengths, areas for development, and career progression opportunities.
  • Offer guidance and support in the creation and execution of individual development plans to ensure employees are on track to meet their professional goals.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to ensure continuous development and success.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of L&D programs and initiatives.
  • Regularly assess the success of onboarding, performance management, leadership, and talent development programs through surveys, feedback, and performance data.
  • Use data and insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve L&D programs, ensuring they align with business objectives and employee needs.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in learning, development, and talent management to keep the company’s programs innovative and effective.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing organizational structures, talent management programs, and executive development strategies.
  • Experience in creating and managing comprehensive HR strategies, including talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention programs.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into actionable HR initiatives that drive organizational growth and employee engagement.
  • Passion for fostering a positive work culture and commitment to employee development and engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in organizational development, strategic HR management, or related roles, with demonstrated success in leading transformational initiatives.
CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Strong knowledge of learning methodologies, instructional design, and talent development frameworks.
  • Expertise in performance management systems and best practices in performance appraisals and feedback.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels and collaborate with leadership teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), performance management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in HR software, organizational design tools, and MS Office applications.
