UK Senior Bookkeeper (Hybrid | Mid Shift)

Schedule: 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Salary: PHP50,000 – PHP70,000

Our client is a specialist healthcare provider delivering high-quality cardiac care and patient services across the United Kingdom. They are looking for a highly organised, dependable, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to support the clinic’s day-to-day financial operations and reporting requirements.
This role is best suited for someone with strong bookkeeping experience, particularly in invoice generation, collections management, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate must demonstrate high diligence, reliability with numbers, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with UK accounting regulations.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities:- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration activities
- Generate and manage invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Monitor collections, follow up on overdue accounts, and assist in chasing bad debt
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and supporting reports for the accountant
- Support month-end reporting and financial documentation processes
- Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with UK accounting regulations and reporting standards
- Organise and maintain financial documentation and expense records
- Coordinate with external accountants or financial advisors when required
- Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping and reporting processes
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and business information
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant supporting UK-based clients or companies
- Strong experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with UK accounting regulations
- Experience using Xero, including Xero reporting functions (required)
- Experience using Stripe
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational, analytical, and time management skills
- Highly reliable, trustworthy, and diligent when handling financial data
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience using Semble
- Familiarity with VAT, tax documentation, or statutory reporting requirements
