As a Purchasing Officer, you'll lead procurement efforts with local suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate purchasing of materials to meet manufacturing demands. You'll manage supplier relationships, maintain delivery timelines, and support global logistics-all while working from the comfort of your home.

- Have previous experience in sales, sales administration, or purchasing and procurement
- Possess at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Exhibit effective time management and a strong sense of urgency for time-critical tasks
- Have experience or exposure to supplier negotiations
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs
- Have knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or Microsoft Power BI (an advantage)
- Show a high level of initiative
- Demonstrate strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach to tasks
- Prepare and send request for quotes to local suppliers
- Maintain professional relationships with local suppliers through regular communication, pricing negotiations, and meetings
- Create and issue purchase orders to local suppliers, ensuring accuracy in pricing and lead times
- Purchase products and materials from local suppliers to maintain stock levels and meet manufacturing demand
- Manage and follow up on local supplier purchase order confirmations
- Manage and follow up on overdue local supplier purchase orders and deliveries
- Upload purchasing documentation to Business Central as required
- Update expected delivery dates in the system for all local orders
- Expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Investigate product stockists to secure preferred product supply
- Book and manage incoming international shipment clearances with freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery
- Upload import documents for customs clearance
- Escalate delays, pricing concerns, and other issues to the Procurement Manager
- Provide administrative support to the Procurement Manager as needed
- Assist the Procurement Manager with supplier assessments on performance, standards, and supply
- Support ERP/MRP system improvements and updates as directed
- Prepare regular reports on ordering and stock requirements for all suppliers
- Coordinate delivery schedules, quality issues, costs, and other concerns with suppliers
- Perform other procurement tasks as assigned
