JOB PURPOSE
Good Cup Coffee’s Accounting Staff is responsible for handling all general facets of accounting, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with regulations, and supporting the company’s financial health. This role involves bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and assisting with tax and audit preparations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Attention to details is very important. This role provides personal administrative support to the company through organizing administrative and clerical duties to optimize workflow in the office. Performs errands and coordinates with other office mates.
General Accounting & Bookkeeping- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
- Ensure timely invoice generation, payment collection, and disbursements.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary financial documents and explanations.
- Prepare and file government-mandated reports, such as VAT, withholding tax, and corporate tax filings.
- Track and record inventory costs and fixed assets in accounting records.
- Perform audits and periodic inventory reconciliations and adjustments as needed.
- Assist in preparing financial data for business reviews and decision-making.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and clients for billing and payments.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping (preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools
