Position Overview:
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role supports the Finance Department by preparing reports, monitoring accounts, and assisting with audits and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record, verify, and post financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and schedules.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing.
- Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and other financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain organized filing systems for invoices, receipts, and financial documents.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company accounting policies.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and other departments regarding financial concerns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Accounting Head.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Specialist, Accounting Assistant, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
