Automotive Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on electric vehicles, including battery systems, electric motors, and power electronics
• Inspect and troubleshoot high-voltage systems using specialized tools and software
• Conduct routine services such as tire rotation, brake inspection, suspension checks, and software updates
• Safely handle and service lithium-ion battery packs and related components
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and EV-specific protocols
• Collaborate with team members and communicate findings clearly to service advisors and customers
• Stay updated on the latest EV technologies, tools, and industry developments

Qualifications:

• Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Specialized training or certification in Electric Vehicle systems preferred
• Proven experience as an automotive technician; EV experience is a strong advantage
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, diagnostics, and vehicle electronics
• Ability to work with high-voltage systems safely
• Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with EV brands and platforms
• Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS)
• Familiarity with regenerative braking systems
• Basic understanding of software updates and vehicle connectivity systems
