Logistics officer

Job Summary:

This role also involves managing transportation, warehousing, and stock control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes.
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Ensure safe and efficient delivery of products to customers or branches.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, transport companies, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain updated records of inventory and logistics documents.
• Optimize routes and minimize delivery costs and delays.
• Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
• Prepare accurate reports for upper management on inventory levels, supply chain performance, and order status.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, ISO, and other regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and train logistics staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2–4 years) in logistics or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of logistics and inventory software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with import/export documentation.
• Knowledge of fleet management and route optimization.
• Familiarity with customs and international shipping (if applicable).

Work Conditions:

• Office and warehouse-based environment.
