SHIFT ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (ABREEZA MALL)

About the role

As a Shift Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical operations during your assigned shift, ensuring all systems function optimally and addressing any electrical issues that may arise. This role is essential to our operations and directly impacts the safety, comfort and experience of our tenants and visitors.

1. Monitor and maintain all electrical systems, equipment and installations throughout the mall facility during assigned shifts
2. Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, transformers, distribution boards, wiring and related equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and system malfunctions, implementing corrective measures promptly
4. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to minimise downtime and extend asset lifespan
5. Respond to emergency electrical issues and power outages, restoring operations as quickly as possible
6. Document all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs and incidents in maintenance logs and reports
7. Coordinate with contractors and external service providers for specialised electrical work and system upgrades
8. Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, building codes and company policies
9. Train and supervise junior technicians or maintenance staff as assigned
10. Communicate effectively with facility management regarding electrical system status, maintenance requirements and capital expenditure needs

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
2. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in electrical maintenance and operations within building, commercial or industrial facilities
3. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency backup systems, lighting systems and building automation
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, single-line diagrams and technical specifications
5. Experience with preventive maintenance programmes and asset management systems
6. Working knowledge of relevant electrical codes and safety standards (National Electrical Code, OSHA guidelines)
7. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
8. Strong communication and documentation skills
9. Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
10. Physical ability to work in various environmental conditions and perform tasks at heights with appropriate safety equipment
11. Leadership qualities and ability to work effectively in a team environment
