Bd officer–gamedev summit sustainability & strategic partnerships

The Business Development Officer – GameDev Summit Sustainability & Strategic Partnerships serves as the primary project manager and operational lead for GameDev Summit while driving its long-term sustainability and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

GameDev Summit Project Leadership & Execution (40%)

• Own and maintain the 12-month master production timeline
• Oversee all workstreams:
• Sponsorship
• Marketing
• Programming
• Delegations
• Exhibitors
• Operations
• Conduct weekly progress tracking meetings
• Maintain risk log and mitigation strategies
• Ensure all deliverables are met on time and at expected quality

• Assist BD Manager in maintaining master budget
• Track revenue vs expenses monthly
• Monitor sponsorship payments & collections
• Flag financial risks early

• Coordinate with venue, suppliers, marketing partners, sponsors
• Ensure sponsor deliverables are executed fully
• Maintain fulfillment tracker

Sustainability & Strategic Partnerships (30%)

• Identify and outreach to 20–30 potential sponsors monthly
• Maintain 5–8 active sponsorship negotiations
• Assist in securing 2–3 sponsorships per quarter
• Support creation of multi-year partnership packages

• Develop sponsor retention strategy
• Propose new revenue streams (digital extensions, year-round events, workshops, roadshows)
• Analyze past event data to improve financial predictability
• Support diversification beyond single-event revenue

• Support engagement with:
• Trade bodies
• Embassies
• Industry associations
• Global studios & publishers
• Assist in growing international delegations annually

Cross-Business Unit Alignment (20%)

Ensure GameDev Summit strengthens and supports:

• Convert sponsors & partners into service leads
• Identify cross-selling opportunities
• Align event messaging with service positioning

• Facilitate indie-to-publisher connections
• Support ecosystem programs that extend beyond GDS

• Support industry positioning initiatives
• Assist in preparing decks, reports, and policy-related materials when needed
• Contribute research for industry-building efforts
• Participate in at least one cross-unit BD initiative monthly.

• Represent GameDev Summit and affiliated initiatives at:
• Conferences
• Trade missions
• Networking events
• Prepare briefing notes pre-event
• Submit post-event strategic reports

• Maintain CRM & partnership pipeline
• Produce:
• Weekly execution reports
• Monthly performance dashboards
• Post-event impact report
• Track KPIs and revenue projections

• 1–3 years experience in project management, partnerships, business development, or events (strong fresh grads welcome)
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Strong communication & negotiation ability
• Commercially aware and data-driven
• Passionate about gaming and ecosystem building
• Able to represent the organization confidently in professional settings

Must be willing to work ONSITE on shifting schedules including night shift, weekends, and holidays
