Industrial Engineer

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary: The Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing and improving production processes, workflows, and systems to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operational costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement
• Design and implement efficient systems for production, material handling, and inventory
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize labor and equipment utilization
• Develop process layouts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
• Monitor and analyze production data (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to implement process improvements
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses for proposed process changes or equipment purchases
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
• Assist in capacity planning and production scheduling
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for management review

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• Licensed Industrial Engineer (a plus, depending on company requirements)
• 1–3 years of relevant experience (entry-level may be considered)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, especially); knowledge of CAD, ERP, or simulation software is an advantage
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or Kaizen principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with good project management skills
