The Facilities Technician / Electrician (L1) provides basic electrical and facilities maintenance support, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, lighting, and facility equipment. The role ensures safe and reliable facility operations through hands-on execution of assigned tasks and support to Facility and Electronics Technician during preventive maintenance activities, with the ability to perform routine tasks independently under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical Troubleshooting & Repair
Assist in basic troubleshooting, repair, installation, and restoration of electrical systems including lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, and facility components. Respond to service requests and escalate complex technical issues to the Facilities & Electronics Technician or Facilities Supervisor when necessary.
- Preventive Maintenance Support
Perform routine inspection, cleaning, tightening, testing, and basic servicing of electrical systems and facility equipment in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules. Support maintenance activities by preparing tools and materials and completing assigned preventive maintenance tasks independently when delegated.
- Safety Compliance
- Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of daily maintenance activities, preventive maintenance execution, inspections, and repairs. Submit timely accomplishment reports and assist in checklist completion and documentation requirements of the Facilities team.
- Repair Support & Office Improvement Activities
Assist in minor facility repairs, workstation movement and improvement works supporting office setup, maintenance, and workspace optimization. Assist during vendor and contractor maintenance activities by providing coordination support and monitoring progress of works.
Qualifications- Vocational or technical course in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or related field
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to follow technical instructions and safety standards
- Capable of performing routine tasks independently under minimal supervision
- Willing to work flexible or shifting schedules if required
