Solutions Architect

Ascendion is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect with strong expertise in Microservices Architecture, Cloud Technologies (AWS/Azure), and Banking Systems Projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in translating business requirements into scalable and secure solution architectures while collaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Solution Architecture, designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience in Microservices Architecture and distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in Cloud Platforms, preferably AWS and/or Azure.
• Extensive experience handling Banking or Financial Services projects/systems.
• Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, middleware, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Experience defining and governing non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as performance, scalability, resiliency, security, disaster recovery, and observability.
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination experience.
• Experience working in Agile and enterprise delivery environments.
• Experience in enterprise banking platforms, digital banking, payments, lending, or core banking systems.
• Strong knowledge of API-led architecture, integration patterns, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Description:

1. Translate business requirements into end-to-end solution architecture, including application components, integration patterns, data flows, and operational considerations.
2. Define and maintain architecture deliverables including:

• Target Architecture
• High-Level Design (HLD) / Solution Architecture Document (SAD)
• Logical Interface Designs
• Data Flow Diagrams
• Deployment Architecture Views
• Architecture Decision Records (ADR)

1. Define, govern, and ensure implementation of non-functional requirements, including:

• Performance & Scalability
• Availability & Resiliency
• Security & Compliance
• Disaster Recovery (DR)
• Observability & Maintainability

1. Lead solution design workshops with vendors and business stakeholders to align solutions with standards, scope, and enterprise architecture principles.
2. Review vendor solution designs and ensure alignment with business needs and architectural standards.
3. Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend practical solution alternatives with clear trade-offs across cost, timelines, risks, and operational impacts.
4. Coordinate architecture dependencies across channels and enabling platforms such as:

• IAM (Identity & Access Management)
• Logging & Monitoring
• Middleware / API Gateway
• Batch Scheduling Systems

1. Provide architecture and design guidance to Build and Integration Teams, ensuring requirements are traceable to implementation and testing.
2. Support environment planning and release readiness, ensuring deployment architecture, environment needs, and integration connectivity are established early.
3. Participate in test strategy and architecture reviews, including SIT, UAT, Performance Testing, and Disaster Recovery Testing.
4. Support defect triage and issue resolution for architecture or design-related concerns.
