Soliman EC is committed to sustainable industrial practices. We operate a Treatment, Storage, and Disposal (TSD) Facility and a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) . We are seeking a highly competent and licensed professional to ensure our environmental compliance remains at standard.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will act as the liaison between the company and regulatory bodies (DENR, LGU) while ensuring that our waste treatment processes are technically sound and environmentally safe.

1. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

• Serve as the accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) in charge of the facility’s environmental permits.
• Prepare, submit, and monitor compliance with DENR/EMB requirements including Self-Monitoring Reports (SMR), Discharge Permits, Permit to Operate and Hazardous Waste (RA 6969) reports.
• Act as the primary liaison for government agencies during inspections and audits.
• Maintain and update the Environmental Compliance Folder (ECF) and all necessary records (e.g., Waste Analysis, Transport Documents, Manifest Sheets).

1. TSD Facility & STP Operations

• Oversee the technical operations of the TSD facility, ensuring proper treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with engineering standards.
• Manage the operation and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) , ensuring effluent quality meets DENR standards before discharge.
• Conduct process optimization to improve treatment efficiency and reduce operational costs.

1. Environmental Management & Safety

• Implement and monitor the Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits.
• Develop and deliver environmental safety training and emergency response drills for plant personnel.

1. Waste Management

• Supervise the proper segregation, labeling, storage, and transport of hazardous waste.
• Ensure the accuracy of the Chemical Inventory and Waste Analysis data.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with relevant experience.
• License:
• Must be a licensed engineer (or relevant engineering license).
• Must be an accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) (or willing to undergo training immediately).
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in environmental management, preferably within a TSD facility, manufacturing plant, or industrial wastewater treatment setting.
• Proven experience handling DENR/EMB compliance (SMRs, Hazardous Waste Reports) is mandatory.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of RA 6969 (Toxic Substances and Hazardous Waste), RA 9275 (Clean Water Act), and RA 8749 (Clean Air Act).
• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental monitoring equipment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills specific to chemical treatment processes.
