Science Teacher- Secondary Level (Highschool)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver effective science lessons for secondary school students (Grades 7–10/12).
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to engage students in both theoretical and practical aspects of science.
• Assess, record, and report on the progress of students regularly.
• Prepare students for assessments, projects, and examinations.
• Participate in curriculum development, school activities, science fairs, and related events.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, school leaders, and parents to support student achievement.
• Ensure student safety and follow school policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education major in Science, Physics, or Biology; or a relevant Science degree with teaching credentials.
• LET passer (preferred but not required for probationary positions).
• Previous teaching experience at the secondary level is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of the [Department of Education/IB/Cambridge/etc.] science curriculum.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Passion for teaching and a commitment to student growth and development.
