ESL Trainer

Job Summary:

The ESL Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging and effective English as a Second Language (ESL) lessons to students of varying proficiency levels. The role focuses on improving students’ communication skills, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and overall confidence in using English in academic, professional, and social settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver interactive ESL lessons tailored to students’ needs and proficiency levels.
• Use a variety of teaching methodologies, materials, and technologies to enhance learning.
• Conduct assessments to track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support students in developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

• Motivate and encourage students to actively participate in class activities.
• Provide individualized support to learners with different learning styles.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning environment.

• Contribute to curriculum development and improvement of training materials.
• Align lessons with program objectives and institutional standards.
• Participate in academic meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and performance.
• Prepare reports on student progress and class performance.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and teaching guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or related field.
• TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification preferred.
• At least 1–2 years of ESL teaching or training experience.
• Strong command of the English language (oral and written).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
