Electronics technician

Job Description

The technician ensures that all equipment runs smoothly during bingo sessions and assists with technical support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and test all bingo-related electronic and mechanical equipment prior to sessions.
• Monitor the performance of equipment during bingo games to ensure seamless operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in bingo consoles, monitors, flashboards, and handheld devices.
• Maintain and update electronic systems and software used in bingo operations.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and inventory of spare parts.
• Assist in training staff on the basic use and handling of bingo equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors or IT specialists for advanced repairs or updates.
• Ensure all equipment complies with local gaming regulations and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to technical issues during bingo sessions to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all bingo machines and equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification a plus.
• Experience with electronics, wiring, or mechanical repair.
• Basic understanding of computer systems and network troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure during live events.
• Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
• Preferred Skills:
• Previous experience in a gaming or bingo environment.
• Knowledge of specific bingo systems (e.g., Planet Bingo, FortuNet, Video King).
• Basic understanding of compliance requirements in the gaming industry.
• Working Conditions:
• Fast-paced environment with frequent movement and on-call requirements during events.
