ChemTech (Chemical Technician)

CCTFI is a private company jointly owned by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Cebu Electroplaters Association (CEA).

CCTFI is an accredited treatment, transporter, storage and disposal facility of hazardous wastes by the DENR.

Is currently looking for:

CHEMTECH (CHEMICAL TECHNICIAN)

Job Specification and Competency Requirements:

• Candidate must be a graduate of BS Chemical Engineering or BS Chemistry.
• Professional license is an advantage.
• Preferably 1-2 years working experience related to the job offered.
• Must have an advance knowledge in Chemistry and must have sufficient knowledge in inorganic chemistry, industrial chemistry and stoichiometry and water analysis.
• Must be excellent in verbal written communications with high degree of analytical ability, inter personal and organization skills.
• Must be computer literate Microsoft office skills.
• Can work with less supervision. Meet deadlines under pressure and a very good team player.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of the treatment process (e.g. what chemicals will be used, the amount to be used and other technical aspects)
• Operation of the treatment process is not possible without the supervision of the Chemist or the Chemical Technician;
• Develops new ways in order to further enhance the treatment process and assist the GM, Chemist, and EMR for the plans of company expansion and other related concerns.
• In charge of the CCTFI Laboratory (analysis reagent/procedure, equipment calibration/maintenance);
• Updates and monitors the status of treatment chemicals;
• Conducts thorough analyses on all waste water samples and recommends for the approval and rejection for treatment of the said samples based on the capability of the facility;
• Monitors batch treatment and process effluents, including monitoring wells as per DAO 2016-08;
• Update and print Certificate of Analysis and Certificate of Treatment per manifest form per client;
• Assists the Chemist and EMR in establishing operating procedures for each process of the plant operations, and implementation of the said procedures;
• Keeps and updates necessary documents regarding all waste water operations;

Working Hours:

• 7:00AM – 5:00PM (Monday to Friday)
