Procurement and Logistics Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Job Summary

The position plays a critical role in maintaining optimal raw material inventory levels while maximizing procurement savings and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure scrap paper, cartons, waste paper, and other raw materials required for production.
• Develop and maintain relationships with consolidators, recyclers, brokers, suppliers, and institutional scrap providers.
• Monitor market trends, supply conditions, and pricing movements to ensure competitive purchasing.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and supply agreements with vendors.
• Identify and develop alternative sources to ensure supply continuity and minimize procurement risks.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews.

• Monitor local market prices of mixed paper, carton scraps, and other recycled materials.
• Analyze market trends, competitor buying rates, and supply-demand conditions.
• Provide regular pricing recommendations and procurement strategies to management.
• Prepare cost analyses and purchasing reports to support decision-making.

• Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and issuance of raw materials.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate supply while minimizing carrying costs.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of recyclable materials.

• Manage inbound transportation and collection of scrap materials from suppliers.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and transportation requirements.
• Optimize logistics routes and transportation costs.
• Monitor trucking contractors and logistics service providers to ensure service quality and timely deliveries.

• Develop and implement procurement, warehouse, and logistics procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve sourcing efficiency, inventory turnover, and logistics performance.
• Establish KPIs and monitor operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

• Prepare procurement, inventory, logistics, and cost reports.
• Track raw material pricing trends and supplier performance metrics.
• Provide regular updates on procurement savings, inventory status, and supply risks.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, warehouse, or logistics operations.
• Experience in recycled paper, paper manufacturing, recycling, packaging, commodities, or raw material sourcing is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supplier negotiations, inventory management, and logistics operations.
• Experience in market price analysis and commodity purchasing..
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Willing to travel extensively for supplier visits and sourcing activities.
