Job Summary:As a Vice President in Trade Support within the Asset & Wealth Management Line of Business, you will support the daily OTC Derivatives operational activities from order execution to trade lifecycle, including settlements and transaction reporting initiated by Private Bank Clients in Asia.
You will collaborate with Business stakeholders, Risk and Control partners, Compliance, and other partners to ensure efficient and effective operations with established controls and governance frameworks.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the timely and accurate capture of all transactions in the Trading Systems, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
- Provide first-class client experiences through effective daily transactional and lifecycle management processing, ensuring accurate and timely trade capture within regulatory requirements and timelines.
- Make sound and objective decisions on operational issues management and escalation.
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives with the Change Teams, leveraging data to make informed decisions.
- Ensure quality and timeliness of project deliverables and escalate issues where appropriate.
- Document and update standard operating procedures, risk documentation, and policy documents associated with Operations.
- Develop working relationships with Business, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and other partners to execute transformation and growth agendas for the Private Bank.
- Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving and evolving processes and business architecture.
- Build an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both financial and operational perspectives to enhance governance.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of core operations with domain knowledge of Trading Middle-Office (OTC Derivatives), including transaction regulatory reporting.
- Understanding of derivatives and hedging products such as Interest Rate Swaps, Basis Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, Forward Rate Agreements (FRA), Foreign Exchange (FX), Zero Coupon and Overnight Index Swaps (OIS), Bonds, and Futures.
- Strong understanding of key elements of other infrastructure groups (Finance, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Legal, Collateral) and the impact of Trade Support team actions on these areas.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively, explain complex concepts, and challenge processes as appropriate.
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a pressurized and changing environment as a great team player.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving, control, and project management skills.
