Sales and Marketing Officer with Automotive Experience
The company specializes in high-performance automotive accessories including bull bars, suspension systems, roof racks, recovery equipment, camping gear, and other off-road solutions designed for adventure and professional use.
As part of its continued growth in the Philippine market, our client is currently looking for a Sales and Marketing Officer with Automotive Experience to help support and strengthen its established distributor operations and retail/dealer network in the Philippines.The role will focus on increasing brand visibility, promoting priority products, supporting dealer relationships, and driving market share growth within the automotive and 4x4 industry.
The ideal candidate should have strong sales and marketing experience in the automotive sector, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to work closely with distributors, dealers, and retail partners to expand our client's presence in the local market.
Key Responsibilities
Support Distributors:
- Collaborate closely with the two existing distributors in Philippines.
- Assist in the development and execution of local sales and marketing plans.
- Help drive campaigns, promotions, and brand positioning in line with company goals.
Retailer Engagement:
- Regularly visit retailers to strengthen relationships, deliver product training, and ensure proper product placement.
- Educate retail staff to prioritize and actively promote our brand over competing products.
- Identify opportunities to improve in-store presence and visibility.
Market Intelligence:
- Continuously monitor and analyze the off-road and camping accessories market.
- Track competitor products, pricing, customer behavior, and emerging trends.
- Gather insights from the field and provide structured reports to head office.
Reporting:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with regional manager/head office.
- Submit regular updates and insights, including KPIs, market feedback, and activity results.
- Maintain independence from distributor management; act as an extension of the brand, not the distributor.
- Establish local relationships within the Philippines market with the acquisition and training of new team members front of mind
- Liaise with head office regarding the recruitment of staff for employment in client's key market of Australia
- Assist with development and execution of market-specific marketing strategies, including localised content creation
- Develop and report on measurable KPIs for the success of localised marketing campaigns
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development
- Strong experience and knowledge of automotive or car accessory products, preferably in the off-road or outdoor segment
- Experience working with distributors, dealers, or retail networks
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights
- Highly self-driven, organized, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Willingness to do fieldwork and visit distributors and retail partners across the Philippines, primarily in Manila and Quezon City, with transportation allowance provided.
