Jr QA Engineer

About the Role

You will work closely with senior QA engineers, developers, and product teams to identify defects, execute test cases, and contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions.

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts under the guidance of senior QA team members.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug-tracking tools.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and performance testing to validate software functionality.
• Collaborate with developers to understand product requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Assist in testing across various platforms (web, mobile, or desktop) to ensure consistent user experiences.
• Learn and contribute to test automation processes as needed.
• Continuously improve testing skills and stay updated with industry QA best practices and tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in software quality assurance (internships or relevant projects count).
• Basic understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
• Exposure to automated testing tools or scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Python, or JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience or familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and technologies.
