Job Title: Sales Cashier

Job Summary:

The Sales Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accurate cash and payment processing. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth store operations and a positive shopping experience for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Answer customer inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department when needed.
• Balance cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Follow all store policies regarding payments, returns, and inventory control.
• Assist with restocking shelves and merchandising displays.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures.

Qualifications:

• college level, 2 years course or equivalent.
• Prior experience in retail or cashier roles preferred.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle cash responsibly.

Work Environment:

• Typically works in retail stores, supermarkets, or service counters.
• May involve evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Requires friendly interaction with customers and teamwork with store staff.
