Description

The Laboratory Technician supports daily laboratory and clinic operations by performing specimen collection, patient assistance, data encoding, and basic front desk and cashiering tasks. The position requires flexibility, accuracy, and willingness to undergo cross-training to ensure efficient and quality patient service.

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology
• With or without prior experience (training will be provided)
• Knowledgeable in proper specimen collection and handling
• Computer literate
• Willing to be trained in laboratory, ASC, receptionist, and cashiering functions
• Patient-oriented, detail-oriented, and dependable

• Perform extraction and collection of blood and other specimens following standard procedures
• Properly label, seal, and handle specimen containers
• Monitor patients during specimen collection
• Take and record patients’ vital signs
• Ensure compliance with clinic protocols and safety standards

• Encode patient information accurately into laboratory systems (e.g., Labsys, IDTOMIS, or equivalent)
• Ensure completeness and correctness of patient records
• Assist in inventory monitoring and reporting of laboratory supplies

• Assist in patient registration and scheduling
• Support cashiering tasks such as payment collection, receipt issuance, and basic transaction encoding
• Assist in releasing laboratory results via email or patient pick-up
• Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of records

• Assist patients and doctors with inquiries and concerns
• Respond to basic inquiries via phone, email, and social media channels
• Help gather patient and doctor feedback
• Monitor and report pending results to the supervisor

• Perform other tasks assigned by management
• Participate in cross-training and support different clinic functions as needed

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: Php 18,070 - Php 19,000 (based on experience)
