Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & General Accounting
- Oversee the general accounting function and month-end closing process
- Ensure compliance with corporate reporting standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct financial analysis, including P&L, A&P, CAPEX, Trade Working Capital (TWC), and tax reporting
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies
- Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and tagging
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
- Lead the preparation of A&P forecasts and related reports
- Conduct monthly budget variance analysis in collaboration with business unit heads
- Audit, Controls & Compliance
- Lead internal audits and financial controls assessments
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and the Data Privacy Act
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for external, internal, and tax audits
- Coordinate with the SEC and Board of Directors for compliance filings and meetings
- Tax Reporting & Audit
- Compute and file income tax, VAT, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and other tax obligations
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory documents to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
- Lead tax audits in coordination with tax consultants
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years in audit, financial reporting, and accounting functions
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in SAP and ERP systems
- Advanced knowledge of accounting standards, SEC, and BIR regulations
- High competence in financial modeling, reporting, and reconciliations
- Software Proficiency:
- MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Key Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail, organization, and proactive approach to financial management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
