What does a Team Leader do? We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to oversee a team of Senior and Junior Annotators within our AI Operations department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and consistency of data annotation tasks critical to the training and performance of AI/ML models.As a Team Leader, you will guide, support, and inspire a team of annotators, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Senior and Junior Annotators to meet project objectives and quality benchmarks.
- Mentor and support Senior Annotators in training Junior team members and scaling annotation capabilities.
- Plan, monitor, and report on annotation progress, quality metrics, and team performance to Leadership.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and feedback sessions to foster professional development and maintain high morale.
- Collaborate with Operations Manager and Quality Assurance teams to ensure annotation accuracy and consistency.
- Oversee adherence to project-specific guidelines and implement updates when standards evolve.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying workflow inefficiencies and proposing scalable solutions.
- Resolve escalated issues, edge cases, or data ambiguities and ensure alignment across all team levels.
- Participate in the training of new team members.
- Ensure all teammates adhere to company policies, processes, and data security standards.
- Maintain clear communication channels across teams and stakeholders to ensure operational transparency.
What You’ll Need:
- 3+ years of experience in data annotation, content moderation, AI operations, or a similar role—with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead position.
- In-depth understanding of AI/ML model training needs, including the role of accurate and consistent labeled data.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams within a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient with annotation tools, task tracking platforms, and productivity software (e.g., Google Suite)
- High emotional intelligence and leadership presence—able to motivate and support a diverse team.
- Adaptability to evolving client needs and project requirements.
- Passion for innovation, operational excellence, and team success.
